As the excitement of last weekend fades away we can sit back and really appreciate what we have achieved as a village, as a community over the past 5 months. When we launched the GLINSK COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER on the 28th of January we could never have imagined the journey this fundraiser would have taken us on, The friendships that were forged , the craic and laughter that was had. We already knew what a fantastic vibrant community we were all part of but this fundraiser cemented that in all of us. We realised along that way that we can achieve great things when we all work together. This is the end of this chapter but hopefully soon we will be updating you all about development plans and maybe even asking for your help once again . For now please give yourselfs the people of Glinsk a big pat on the back.

We have so many to thank and acknowledged so please if we miss someone here know that it was not intentional.

We first must mention our partners, The other wonderful clubs, Committees, institutions and services that helped make up THE GLINSK COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER.

We mentioned Already the people of Glinsk, we must also remember the diaspora of Glinsk all over the world and the special effort they all made to sell tickets and help us improve our facilities at HOME. Please god when those people do return home they will see the fruits of thier labour .

Thanks to our neighbouring villages and towns for purchasing tickets in such large volumes. We will return the favour when the time comes.

We thank each and every person that spent their hard earned cash on tickets . Thank you for helping us reach our 15.000 Target.

We especially thank the 170 plus ticket sellers that travelled the highways and byways in order to push these tickets. from the depths of winter , Through the spring and right into high summer you never wavered , never complained just got on with the job at hand. THANK YOU.

To the countless businesses, Marts, Sporting Venus, Shows, events, shopping centres , Cafes, Shops and every where that allowed us to sell our tickets outside your doors, Thanks.

To the organising Committee , and the admins who poured thier energies and expertise into pulling off this mammoth fundraiser, Thank you. You will all be remembered for what was achieved.

We were blessed with top class music and entertainment on Saturday night, we had top class food from the hatch takeaway. We had expert security and taxis and busses with a special mention to Tommy Forde who got us all home safely. Our thanks to you.
